Who you are buying from

Cryptic Quill Kids is part of Cryptic Quill, Inc., a company in New York. "We" on this page means us. Payments are taken by Stripe; books are printed and shipped by our print partner, Lulu.

Printed books and shipping

• Every printed book is printed for your order, then shipped. Allow 7–14 business days for it to arrive.
• We ship to addresses in the United States only. Shipping is a flat $6.99 per order, however many books are in it.
• You'll get an email with tracking once your order ships.
• For Christmas, order by December 1. Carriers are busy in December and we can't guarantee their dates.

Refunds and reprints for printed books

• Damaged, misprinted or the wrong book: email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem. We'll reprint it or refund you, your choice. No need to return it.
• Never arrived: if tracking shows no delivery 14 business days after it shipped, email us. We'll trace it, and if it's lost we'll reprint it or refund you.
• Change of mind: because each book is printed for your order, we can't take returns or give refunds for a change of mind.
• Cancelling: email us as soon as you can. If your book hasn't gone to print yet, we'll cancel and refund in full. Once it is printing, we can't stop it.
• Wrong address entered at checkout: if a book can't be delivered because of the address given, we can send it again, but the new copy and its shipping are charged.

Personalized dedications

We print your child's name and your message exactly as you type them at checkout, so please check the spelling before you pay. If we make a mistake, we reprint free. Dedicated books are made for one child, so they can't be returned for a change of mind. Dedication orders for Christmas close on December 1.

Printables (downloads)

• Your download link arrives by email right after you pay and keeps working for 30 days. Save your files.
• Because a download can't be returned, we don't refund printables once they have been downloaded. If a file won't open, is missing pages or isn't what was described, email us within 14 days and we'll send a fixed file or refund you.
• What you may do with them: print as many copies as you like for your own family, or for one classroom or Greek school class you teach. Please don't sell them, share the files, or post them online.

Prices

Prices are in US dollars. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Promotions can't be added after an order is placed.

Our stories and characters

The Olive & Co. stories, artwork and characters, including Stavroula, Eleni and Nikoletta, belong to Cryptic Quill, Inc. Buying a book or printable doesn't give the right to copy or reuse them beyond what this page allows.

The legal part, kept short

As far as the law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law. New York law applies. If something goes wrong, write to us first; we'd much rather put it right.

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The terms in place when you ordered apply to your order.
